Mr B: Aunt Becky, do you have any kids?
Aunt Becky: No.
Mr B: Why not?

My nephew: Little Mr B Mr B: Aunt Becky, do you have any kids? Aunt Becky: No. Mr B: Why not? Aunt Becky: Well, because I’m not married. Mr B: Oh. Are you gonna get married? Aunt Becky: I hope so. Mr B: Who are you gonna pick to marry? Aunt [...] When babies are born to my family or friends, I like to give stuffed animals. Of course, I’m not trying to just give any stuffed animal. I’m really trying to give the stuffed animal…the one that baby will never want to let go of. Children are trained from a young age to get up in front of their peers to recite scripture, pray or give talks. In this way it is hoped that as they grow to be adults they will be [...]

But Nana didn’t even [...] There are things my friends mention doing for their nieces and nephews that I envy just a little. Trips and adventures and over the top gifts. With 13 nephews and 7 nieces and a family impulse to turn everything into tradition, I have to be careful what I do. I have to consider whether I [...] |
