vacation days – on becoming a guitarist

I went on vacation. I hardly took any pictures. I didn’t draw a single line. Or read a single book. These things are so strange I hardly know what to think of myself.

But I did swim in open water. And I played my guitar every day on a balcony overlooking the ocean. Life is good.

  1. Maybe a little shallow – you look fantastic! Hopefully less shallow – you mean so much to me and will always hold a special place in my heart for shared memories full of struggle and sorrow but most of all adventure and joy! Always your sister, Jenny (McBride) Lowell.

  2. I’ll take a little of that kind of shallow, Jenny! :)

Oh the memories we have. Struggle, sorrow, adventure, joy. That really does sum it all up. I can’t believe how long it has been. It all feels like yesterday and yet a lifetime ago.

  3. Hi Becky

I just came across your BLOG. I am also a guitar player for 40 plus years. I hope you do well with your music and you allow your gift to find bless others. I compose, write poems, lyrics, and record. If you have some some recordings I would love to hear them. I have all my recordings and upload them to sound cloud. I enjoy using that site. http://soundcloud.com/guitardotpicker/la-botana
You may have to copy and paste the link to hear it.
    Enjoy
