beginning public speaking

In our church the speaking, preaching, and teaching work is shared among the members of each congregation. Children are trained from a young age to get up in front of their peers to recite scripture, pray or give talks. In this way it is hoped that as they grow to be adults they will be ready to take on their share of this kind of service. One of my nephews recently recited his first scripture in church. His voice is so sweet I couldn’t resist sharing. Here he is practicing:
