My uncle’s wedding was this past weekend. I’ll be posting a few days of photos. The blog will return to normal next week.
They met on a blind date – set up by the groom’s brother. She suggested a restaurant that happened to be his favorite – so he proposed. That time was a joke. Turned out she loved his motorcycle, his dog, and his mom. He got past the fact that she doesn’t love bluegrass. So the next proposal was in earnest.
I haven’t had a chance to tell her stories about him yet. I don’t think she knows that as a teenager he had a glow in the dark poster of the band KISS. That thing terrified me. But it’s also proof his musical tastes have some flexibility.
We’re getting a kick out of having a new aunt. And the fact that she is our age (or, ahem, a bit younger). Lots of members of the extended family live hear the new couple. If she can handle our chaos, well, she’s impressive. Even some of us have our limits with the crowds we create.

Becky –
I love, love, LOVE, the wedding pics! You have got such an eye! You’re one of those “talented-at-everything” peope! How do I get copies? You should have been the photographer. I think they asked me just to be nice.
Thanks Tessa, but I’m no good at the round everyone up for a group picture gig. I just like to step back and attempt to catch stuff in action. I’m sure your photos are fantastic. You have a great eye for light. Your portraits are always amazing.
Let me know which pictures you would like and I’ll send you the files.
Becky ,how much to keep those storys from coming out? LOL
Serously though, this is a very nice tribute. Everyone really pulled together to make it happen. Thank you
Sorry Uncle Pete – those stories will be kept in reserve until needed. You might have stories about me. I think that call that mutually assured destruction.
